Vane Opening
Vane opening refers to the level of clear visibility when looking through the shade at eye level with the vanes fully open. For sheer shades, the vane opening typically ranges from 1 inch to 1-1/2 inches, depending on the vane size and opacity.
Vane Closure
When the vanes of a sheer shade are closed, they overlap to obstruct the view. However, the vanes do not come into full contact along the entire length of the shade, so they do not create a complete seal against light leakage. This gap is most noticeable near the bottom of the shade
